1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may ask a browser to store. Websites may also use similar browser-storage technologies such as local storage and session storage.
2. Current browser storage
The public SaftaOS website currently uses browser storage for limited interface functions.
| Storage item | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| saftaos-theme | Remembers whether the visitor selected system, light or dark appearance. | Local storage |
| saftaos-cookie-placeholder-dismissed | Remembers that the visitor closed the current-session cookie information notice. | Session storage |
3. Essential and preference storage
The storage described above supports website appearance and interface behaviour. It is not intended to build an advertising profile or track visitors across unrelated websites.
4. Analytics and advertising
The current website code does not enable non-essential analytics or advertising trackers.
If analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies are introduced, this notice and the website's consent controls should be updated before those technologies are activated.
5. Hosting and security logs
Website hosting, content-delivery or security providers may produce normal technical logs, such as IP address, request time, browser information, requested resource and security-event details.
These records may be used to deliver the website, investigate faults, prevent abuse and maintain security.
6. Managing browser storage
You can remove stored website information through your browser settings. Disabling all browser storage may affect theme preference and other website interface functions.
7. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated if the website begins using additional cookies, analytics, integrations or related technologies.
8. Contact
Questions about website cookies or browser storage may be submitted through the SaftaOS contact page.
